Neuromuscular Medicine of Delaware

Our Laboratory:
Neuromuscular Medicine of Delaware is dedicated to the diagnosis and treatment of patients with neuromuscular disorders.
Our laboratory is the only Delaware laboratory to receive Accreditation with Exemplary Status from the American Association of Neuromuscular & Electrodiagnostic Medicine (AANEM). Enrica Arnaudo, M.D., Ph.D., the laboratory’s medical director, is a specialist in the clinical evaluation and diagnosis of neuromuscular disorders. She believes that the EMG testing must be used as an extension of the neuromuscular examination to reach a conclusive diagnosis.

Her training goes significantly beyond that of a general neurologist or physical medicine physician. Dr. Arnaudo holds three board certifications in the field of neuromuscular disorders.
She is board certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology (ABPN) and with the Added Qualifications in Clinical Neurophysiology (ABPN-CN) and by the American Board of Neuromuscular and Electrodiagnostic Medicine (ABEM).

Our Focus:
Dr. Arnaudo is a specialist in the clinical evaluation and diagnosis of neuromuscular disorders and limits her practice to EMG (electromyography) and neuromuscular diseases. Neuromuscular and peripheral nervous system disorders are a broad group of diseases that affect our muscles and nerves. Common symptoms for these disorders are muscle weakness, cramps, numbness or tingling, pain, and balance difficulties. Dr. Arnaudo trained at The Neurological Institute of Columbia University, one of the most respected neuromuscular and EMG programs in the world. Because of her expertise, she focuses on providing patients with accurate diagnoses through comprehensive neuromuscular evaluations coupled with the latest electrodiagnostic technology.

Our Commitment:
Neuromuscular Medicine of Delaware is committed to the highest quality patient care through the diagnosis of patients with neuromuscular disorders. Accurate diagnoses are obtained by combining the clinical evaluation and electrophysiological testing, including EMG and nerve conduction studies. Our laboratory accreditation by the AANEM provides patients, referral sources, and payers a credible measure to differentiate our laboratory’s quality of care. As an accredited electrodiagnostic laboratory with Exemplary Status, we have demonstrated clinical excellence in electrodiagnostic medicine and confirmed our laboratory’s commitment to providing the highest quality healthcare to every patient.
